چکیده
Hard river engineering or channelization alters channel bathymetry and morphology invites multiple fluvio-hydrological hazards. The linear (72 m), concrete, low height (1.6 multipillars (20 pillars) bridge with concrete embankments revetments has been constructed across along the Bala within Himalayan foothill zone in year 2017. As a result, rate of siltation tremendously increased at vicinity pillars bridge. principal objectives are (i) to establish wrongly designed hard techniques (ii) find out adverse effect Results showed that highest was 0.55 m end monsoon 2017 whereas average 0.37 between 2010 If is greater particular year, there high probability divert course. thalweg line shifted towards right bank side. same condition persists for long time, near future (during monsoon) will avulse nearly 200 side on lying topographic depression rich Buxa Tiger Reserve.
